Suraj Rama joined NewGen Advisory in 2017 as a Junior Analyst and advanced to Associate Agent in 2022. He brings a rare combination of hands-on hospitality experience and legal training — having grown up in the industry, worked across three IHG properties, and studied alongside attorneys representing brands including Choice Hotels, Four Seasons, and Hilton. That background gives him a distinct ability to evaluate assets from both an operational and legal perspective.

Through his work on upper-midscale transactions, Suraj has built relationships with institutional investors actively expanding their hotel portfolios. He personally underwrites each opportunity, combining market data with insights from lenders, franchise representatives, and experienced owners to develop pricing strategies grounded in both market realities and buyer expectations.

Suraj graduated cum laude from Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business with a degree in Business Law, and is currently completing his Master’s in Legal Studies with a concentration in Business at ASU’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law.
