September 11, 2026 – NewGen Advisory is pleased to announce the closing of Studio 6 Jackson, MS – I-55, an 88-room extended-stay hotel located at 5035 Interstate 55 North Frontage Road in Jackson, Mississippi. The transaction was led by Associate Advisor, Devo Ragha of NewGen Advisory, who represented the property through the marketing and sale process.
Originally built in 1973, the property underwent a full renovation in 2024, including a conversion to Motel 6’s Gemini package. It features all-suite accommodations with in-room kitchens, a full-service bar, an on-site manager’s apartment and additional land included in the sale.
Following the renovation and conversion, the hotel posted strong operating results, with high occupancy that consistently outperformed its competitive set. That performance underscores the continued demand for extended-stay lodging in the Jackson market.
The hotel draws on several major area employers and demand generators, including Dillard’s regional office, Jackson State University, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi, Cal-Maine Foods and Trustmark Corporation. Combined with its extended-stay format and recent renovation, that demand base gave prospective buyers a compelling operating profile.
